Check out my latest article in SharePoint Pro magazine where I describe how to enhance the cross device compatible (that means it works on iPad/iPhone/Android/Windows Phone/etc.) mobile application I created in the first article in this series.
In the article you will learn how to edit SharePoint list data with the REST APIs, how to search for data in SharePoint with the SharePoint search service, and even how to display charts inside of Excel documents deployed to Excel Services all from a mobile application.
The article also discusses different authentication methods in addition to authentication.asmx. As you will see, some are better than others.
Here’s a screenshot of the mobile app from my article running in the Windows Phone emulator.
