In this article just published by SharePoint Pro magazine I describe the different approaches you can take to build cross device compatible mobile applications and provide you with some concrete examples that demonstrate how to go about it. The article discusses the tradeoffs between building native applications vs. HTML5 applications, how to use PhoneGap to create cross device compatible HTML5/JavaScript mobile applications, and demonstrates how to authenticate to SharePoint sites and perform CRUD operations on SharePoint list data.
