SharePoint Advisor Summit Recap

I had a great time last week at the SharePoint Advisor Summit. I enjoyed chatting with all the people who stopped by our booth. I was able to sneak away from the booth to attend a session presented by Patrick Tisseghem on Excel Services. I had not seen Patrick present before and I was really impressed with his session.  At the end of the Summit we gave away an XBOX 360 to a lucky winner.

It was good to see the folks from Bamboo Solutions again. Their booth was across the aisle from ours and we had a good time hanging out while the attendees were in the sessions and not browsing the booths.

I met several people in the SharePoint scene for the first time including Jeff Cate, Todd Bleeker, Bill English, Tony Bierman, and Darrin Bishop. During the final night of the Summit we had dinner with Todd, Tony, Darrin, and Patrick. It was nice to be able to introduce my fianc? to these folks, so now she knows who I’m talking about when I come back from SharePoint events and start telling stories about the events.

After the conference my fianc? and I spent a few days in Phoenix visiting friends. The A/C in our rental car broke, and so did the A/C in the replacement car.  Driving around in 106 degree heat without A/C is not something I’d recommend.  We managed to have a great time anyway.  Check out this sweet picture I took of the sunset in the desert.
