Free Virtual Conference – Climbing the SharePoint Summit

This Thursday (May 20, 2010) I’ll be presenting a session at the free Climbing the SharePoint Summit virtual conference.  The session I’m presenting is Creating Custom Silverlight Applications with Business Connectivity Services and the SharePoint Client Object Model.  Here’s the description for the session.

“This session demonstrates how to build Silverlight applications which connect to data sources through the BCS and the SharePoint Client Object Model. First, the session demonstrates how to register a data source with the BCS which pulls data from multiple data sources. Then the session shows how to use the SharePoint Client Object Model to display and update the data within a Silverlight application. Finally, the session will demonstrate how to enhance your Silverlight applications even further with data stored in SharePoint lists and libraries. Whether you are looking for in-depth technical knowledge about these components, or just want to get some ideas how Silverlight applications may be used to streamline processes and save time in your organization, this is the right session for you.”

After the session I’ll be participating in a question and answer chat.  My session is just one of many which the free virtual conference includes.  To register and learn more about the free virtual conference and the great speakers and sessions check out the website

I look forward to seeing you there!
